Obama Mania

The evening started with Christopher making the audience laugh to the observations of a comedian on Obama.

Barbara started from the table and expertly used pictures, orange shoes and acted out the icecream presenting of the 10yr old to the girl of his life.

Gökhan introduced us to the word "getürkt" and how it came to play in the German vocabulary. Russell Peters would be interested in using this story :)

Michael roped us into his FOXP2 speech with a real long rope.

Stanko broke the ice by Staying hungry and foolish.

Bavarian Challenges

We have done it on the mountains, we went on trains, we'll be in a Pub today - but we haven't gone as far as to speak in a Bierzelt. However this would be the ultimate challenge for any public speaker in bavaria. Lets see how far we can go this year have a nice may day without mayday or maihem today and tonite.

Speaking from the Mountains

What we planned?
We planned to speak from the mountains for a change, thanks to Dominik.

What we did?
We hiked up to the Buchsteinhütte in Tegernsee. On our way we stopped for some table topics. Mel came up with an ingenious stuff wherein people pooled in words to make the next table topic.

The same evening we had speeches held by every toastmaster. What was amazing is that people who were not prepared sat down for 30 minutes and put together amazing speeches. We even evaluated every speech made. Special mention should be made of guest Mirela and Chiraphan who jumped in and made speeches and evaluations.

Meeting - 30.05.2007

Friedrich came dressed up in Lederhosen and explained the socio-cultural effects in business in Bavarian style.


Goekhan did his Icebreaker. Weaving poetry into his passions, he took us on a wonderful journey explaining his love for paintings and cars.


Mel did a fine job as Toastmaster of the Evening. Irish charm and good humor kept the evening rolling!

Mel and Martin did the club proud by representing us for the Evaluation contest and Speech contest in Gothenburg. Martin came back successful and will represent the club for the Inter District and possibly win the International Speech Contest :)
